The high-performance MR-04, Kyosho’s newest chassis, has finally arrived in the standard MINI-Z RWD.

Kyosho Readysets are popular for a simple reason: open the box, put batteries in the car and the transmitter, and you are driving a true hobby-grade R/C car. The small-scale MINI-Z Racer is especially good for people with little R/C experience, because it is easy to handle and can be driven indoors.

The MINI-Z RWD is the rear-wheel-drive Readyset at the core of the MINI-Z Racer range, and it has now been renewed with a new chassis. Earlier Readysets used the third-generation MR-03. This one is built on the fourth-generation MR-04, introduced in 2023. The MR-04 keeps the basic layout of the MR-03 but moves forward with a lower center of gravity and redesigned steering. It first appeared in the EVO2, the top model in the MINI-Z line, where it showed outstanding speed and handling.

For the Readyset, the MR-04 chassis is fitted with a ready-to-run R/C unit and paired with a pre-assembled body finished to display-model quality. The chassis materials are unchanged from the high-end version, so the quality is the same. Power comes from an easy-to-manage 130-class brushed motor, and the transmitter is the popular, dependable Syncro KT-531P with steering wheel and pistol grip. Install four AAA alkaline batteries in the chassis and four in the transmitter, and it is ready to run.

You can enjoy it exactly as it comes, or use the wide range of MINI-Z option parts to build a car capable of racing at the highest level. Made for driving, tuning, and display, the MINI-Z RWD with its new MR-04 chassis takes owners a step further into the real R/C experience.
